Côte d’Ivoire – L’ONU lève ses sanctions contre Pascal Affi N’Guessan

L’ONU vient de lever les sanctions contre Pascal Affi N’Guessan. Depuis 2004, M. Affi faisait l’objet de sanctions sous la résolution 1572: gèle des avoirs et interdiction de voyage. La demande de levée émane selon nos informations de l’ONUCI après concertation entre la patronne locale et le chef de l’état ivoirien.

« La personne visée », M. N’guessan, « a été retirée de la liste des sanctions du Comité (…) et de la liste récapitulative des sanctions du Conseil de sécurité de l’Organisation des nations unies », annonce la note.

Le texte précise que ce retrait est intervenu après « l’examen de la demande de radiation » de son nom qui a été « présentée par l’intermédiaire de la Mission permanente de la Côte d’Ivoire auprès de l’Onu », ajoutant que « les dispositions concernant le gel des avoirs et l’interdiction de voyager (…) ne s’appliquent donc plus » au leader du Fpi.

Des personnalités proches de l’ex-président ivoirien déchu, Laurent Gbagbo, dont son épouse Simone ou encore son dernier ministre de la Jeunesse, Charles Blé Goudé, sont toujours sous le coup de ces sanctions, quatre ans après la chute de son régime.

Security Council Committee Established Pursuant to Resolution 1572 (2004) Concerning Côte d’Ivoire Deletes Pascal Affi N’guessan from Its Sanctions List

On 26 February 2015, the entry specified below was deleted from the 1572 Sanctions List and from the Consolidated United Nations Security Council Sanctions List. The entry was deleted after the Committee concluded its consideration of the de-listing request for this name submitted through the Permanent Mission of Côte d’Ivoire to the United Nations. The assets freeze and travel ban set out in paragraphs 9 to 12 of Security Council resolution 1572 (2004) adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations accordingly no longer apply to this entry.
